Models

Barnabas, Werewolf, and Vampire Van

Three Dark Shadows scale models were released by Model Products Corp. in 1969 -- one of Barnabas, one of a werewolf, and one of a hearse-like "vampire van." The van was re-released after the show went off the air, without any DS tie-in on the box. (Both van boxes are pictured here.) Below, the sides of the Barnabas Vampire Van box provide a closer look at the model's details. On DS, Barnabas may have borrowed Liz & Roger's station wagon a few times, but he never tooled around Collinsport in anything quite this snazzy.

Ben Cross as Barnabas
In 1992, Action Kits International released a model of Barnabas as portrayed by Ben Cross in the NBC revival of the show. And in 1994 they released a model of Jonathan Frid as the famous vampire. (The '60s version really didn't resemble Frid -- except for his trademark spiked bangs.)
